{"id":3958,"date":"2020-07-28T23:05:22","date_gmt":"2020-07-29T03:05:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pidf.org\/\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=3958"},"modified":"2020-07-28T23:05:22","modified_gmt":"2020-07-29T03:05:22","slug":"drive-thru-covid-19-testing-on-maui","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/pidf.org\/event\/drive-thru-covid-19-testing-on-maui\/","title":{"rendered":"Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing on Maui"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Drive-through COVID-19 testing will be held on Wednesday, July 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Keopuolani Regional Park.<\/p>\n<p>Keopuolani Regional Park will be closed Wednesday morning and open at 3:00 p.m., following the drive-through COVID-19 testing event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to extend a big mahalo to Minit Medical for partnering with us again, to provide this drive-through testing, hopefully after Hurricane Douglas passes through our islands,\u201d Mayor Victorino said. \u201cWe know there are concerns in our community regarding recent cases so we strongly encourage anyone who is worried to get tested now, rather than wait for the drive-through event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need everyone to do their part to keep COVID-19 cases low by avoiding large gatherings, maintaining physical distance with others and frequent hand washing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Minit Medical will be administering the drive-through, with diagnostic and anti-body testing available. Minit Medical will call individuals with all results, which are expected to take one to three days.<\/p>\n<p>Participants can pre-register for the drive-through testing on Minit Medical\u2019s website at www.minitmed.com. They can do same-day registration, but pre-registration saves time and avoids paperwork.<\/p>\n<p>Anti-body tests are NOT covered by insurance. Those who get anti-body testing will receive a bill from Clinical Labs of Hawaii for about $45.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to partner with the County to help provide this drive-through testing event in Central Maui,\u201d said Justin Prouty, owner of Minit Medical. \u201cKeep in mind, though, that you don\u2019t need to wait for a drive-through to get tested.
