{"id":4051,"date":"2019-02-20T04:52:46","date_gmt":"2019-02-20T09:52:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pidf.org\/\/?p=4051"},"modified":"2020-08-14T16:55:44","modified_gmt":"2020-08-14T20:55:44","slug":"happy-feet-for-families","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pidf.org\/happy-feet-for-families\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy Feet for Families"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>When Archdeacon Steve Costa saw Partners in Development Foundation (PIDF) President Jan Dill speaking to KITV about the importance of Early Childhood Education, he felt a pull to do something for the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Costa works for the Episcopal Diocese of Hawai\u02bbi at St. Elizabeth&#8217;s Church in Kalihi, Honoulu. He previously worked with feeding the pu\u02bbuhonua at Waianae Boat Harbor and recognized our Ka Pa\u02bbalana program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St. Elizabeth&#8217;s had recently come into possession of a large quantity of slippers donated by KC Hawaii. The slippers were referred to Costa through \u02bbIolani School alumni and the school&#8217;s chaplain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dill was speaking at the Hawai\u02bbi State Capitol building during the annual \u02bbEleu Rally, which brings together nonprofit organizations dedicated to Native Hawaiian early learning and family education. Other organizations present included Keiki O Ka \u02bb\u0100ina and INPEACE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the \u02bbEleu Rally, the Ven. Costa was also in the building working to better our communities. He was there for prison reform. &#8220;Keiki need all the push they can get,&#8221; Costa said.
