(Honolulu, Hawaii) November 1, 2017 \u2013 Partners In Development Foundation (PIDF) has received a grant award for unrestricted support from the Hawai\u2018i Community Foundation (HCF) in the amount of $49,000. This was made possible through their FLEX Grants program, which is made up of a partnership of many funds to support operations of high performing nonprofits. This particular award was comprised of the following funds:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Annie Sinclair Knudsen Memorial Fund
Restricted to support programs\/projects benefitting Kaua\u02bbi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Marisla Fund
Funds restricted to support programs\/projects benefitting Kaua\u02bbi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reverend Takie Okumura Family Fund
To support programs that support healthy development of Hawai\u02bbi\u2019s young children (birth to 5 years old) and youth (ages 6-20 years old).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Richard Smart Fund
Funds restricted to support programs\/projects benefitting Waimea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tai Up Yang Fund<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Henry A. Zuberano Early Education Fund<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Funds received will benefit PIDF\u2019s T\u016bt\u016b and Me Traveling Preschool, Hui Ho\u02bbomalu Foster Care program, Ke Kama Pono Safehouse for adjudicated youth, N\u0101 Pono No N\u0101 \u02bbOhana Family education program on the islands of Kaua\u2018i Hawai\u2018i and O\u02bbahu, as well as PIDF operations statewide. PIDF, a nonprofit public charity incorporated in 1997, serves at-risk families and communities in Hawai\u2018i through a wide range of free programs in early childhood education, parent education, adult education, support for adjudicated youth, and other social services including civic engagement. The organization consists of nearly 300 employees and 10 programs. All of our programs have collectively served over 80,000 people in over 50 at risk communities across the state.
