“Taste of Kalo” a Community-Culinary Experience, and Ono-licious Success!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Early last month, teams consisting of members of the legislature, Hawai’i county council, restauranteurs, non-profit organizations, flower farms, and Mayor Billy Kenoi, competed in a “Taste of Kalo”, a community event, hosted by Ka Hana No’eau, in collaboration with Community Harvest Hawai’i.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was held at the Kohala Inter-generational Center, and included entertainment by well-known slack key guitar artist, Cyril Pahinui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was also Okinawan entertainment, food booths, and a mechanical horse and calf to test your roping skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All competing chefs created wonderful aromatic, eye-pleasing and tasty dishes, which the crowd of food lovers thoroughly enjoyed. At the end of the day, the vote was in, and\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
