This year\u2019s campaign theme, \u201cI Belong,\u201d will share the various ways family comes into our lives. On any given day in Hawai\u02bbi, there are approximately 1,500 keiki in foster care. PIDF hopes to raise awareness around the need for more safe and loving resource (foster) homes in Hawai\u02bbi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CALENDAR OF EVENTS:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hawai\u02bbi Spring Art Contest &#8211;<\/strong> <em>Now until March 21, 2022<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students K-12 Statewide are encouraged to create original art pieces that reflect and incorporate what belonging means to them. The winning design will be featured on a t-shirt in celebration of Foster Care Awareness Month and the \u201cI Belong\u201d theme. Five prize packages from Wet\u2018n\u2019Wild and Project Pilina will be awarded to the top artists selected.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pidf.org\/event\/2022-hawaii-spring-art-contest\/\">Click here to see the full details!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Brunch &amp; Spree<\/strong> &#8211; <em>Feb. 27, 2022, 10 a.m. \u2013 1 p.m.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project Pilina along with Rhea Lana&#8217;s of Honolulu, a pop-up consignment shop at Pearlridge Center will co-host a Brunch and Spree on Sunday, Feb. 27. Keiki will model fashions provided by Rhea Lana\u2019s Honolulu on the runway, alongside H\u0101lau N\u0101 Mamo O Pu\u02bbuanahulu, Ho\u02bbololi, and The Sonny Ching Collection with Paradisus. The annual event is put on to mahalo the resource caregivers who have opened their homes to children in care. Rhea Lana recognizes that many keiki in foster care come with few possessions. The Shop For Free event allows keiki to fill their closets with affordable fashion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wet\u2018n\u2019Wild After Party Hawai\u02bbi Spring Break Celebration<\/strong> &#8211; <em>March 19, 2022, 10:30 a.m. \u2013 9 p.m.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Project Pilina will be distributing discount cards to use exclusively on March 19 at the Wet\u2018n\u2019Wild After Party with a Dive\u02bbn\u2019Movie event featuring Disney\u2019s latest film, <em>Encanto<\/em>, a tale of an extraordinary family.
